CHILDHOOD STROKE AWARENESS DAY WALK

On Saturday May 3, 2008 PSN is sponsoring a CSAD fundraising walk.  Half of the proceeds will go to PSN to support awareness and half will go to the AHA to support research.

Purpose:      To raise awareness of childhood stroke on Childhood Stroke Awareness Day.

Date:            May 3, 2008

Time:           9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with picnic to follow

Where:         Fox Brook Park

                    2925 N. Barker Rd.

                    Brookfield WI 53045

Goals:          1) To raise community awareness that children have strokes.

2)  To educate on the signs of stroke.

3) To raise money to help promote awareness of  childhood stroke. (Money going to Pediatric Stroke Network)

4) To raise money to assist with research of childhood stroke. (Money going to the American Heart Association)

5) To provide resources to families with children diagnosed with stroke.

6) To celebrate our childhood stroke survivors!

Awareness/Research Fund: 

Donations from businesses and individuals are being received.  You can donate at www.pediatricstrokenetwork.com. Or checks should be made out to Pediatric Stroke Network and sent to P.O. Box 445 Greendale, WI 53129.  All donations are tax deductible.

The main fundraising event is our 2-3 mile walk coming up in May.  It is a simple walk-a-thon format where participants raise pledges from family and friends to participate.  The registration and sponsorship forms can be downloaded at www.pediatricstrokenetwork.com or you can download directly HERE.
